It’s official. The 2012-13 produce season is in full swing and produce professionals across America are gathering in Nogales, AZ for the Fresh Produce Association’s 44th annual Nogales Produce Convention and Golf Tournament.
“The convention has been a great networking event in the past. It provides our customers the opportunity to spend time with us and learn more about the availability and exceptional quality of fresh produce sourced from Mexico,” said Chris Ciruli, Chief Operations Officer and sponsor of this year’s event.
Ciruli Brothers kicked off the new produce season last month, shipping cucumbers and colored bell peppers. “The weather has been favorable and we are starting to bring in additional items,” added Chris, referring to crops just beginning to emerge from the Sinaloa valley, which include American and specialty varieties of eggplant and fresh green beans.
Ciruli Brothers is making an appearance at the show to hear the latest news and spend time with key members of the trade, ranging from retailers to foodservice providers. If you’re planning to be in the area for the convention, let us know. For more information about the event, visit the Fresh Produce Association of the Americas website at www.freshfrommexico.com.
